New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Washington Nationals.
Nimmo will yield center field to Guillermo Heredia and the leadoff spot to Jeff McNeil. Nimmo owns a .180/.305/.320 slash line versus lefties this season, compared to .309/.441/.561 against right-handers.
