Kurt Suzuki serving as Nationals' DH Thursday
Washington Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki will bat third and serve as the designated hitter in Thursday's series opener against left-hander David Peterson and the New York Mets.
Suzuki will replace Yadiel Hernandez in the DH spot. Juan Soto will move up and bat second. Yan Gomes will catch Patrick Corbin.
