Brandon Nimmo on Mets' bench Tuesday
New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against left-hander Blake Snell and the Tampa Bay Rays.
What It Means:
Nimmo had a six-game hit streak come to an end in Monday's series opener. He's batting just .180 versus left-handers this season. Jeff McNeil will cover right field and the leadoff spot on Tuesday. Dominic Smith will man the other corner and bat third. Todd Frazier will enter the lineup on third base and hit cleanup while J.D. Davis bats second as the Mets' designated hitter.
