Brandon Belt on Giants' bench Thursday afternoon

San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Nick Margevicius and the Seattle Mariners.

What It Means:

Belt went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer on Wednesday but he appears to be getting a breather. He's slashing .305/.401/.602 with 8 home runs and 24 RBI in 40 games this season. Wilmer Flores will shift to first base and the cleanup spot while Austin Slater starts as the Giants' designated hitter and leadoff man. Mike Yastrzemski will move to No. 3 in the order.

numberFire's models expect Slater to score 12.0 FanDuel points on Thursday with a salary of $2,800.
