New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against right-hander Zack Wheeler and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Alonso will sit after going 1-for-17 with 6 strikeouts over the last four games. Dominic Smith will draw another start on first base while J.D. Davis shifts to designated hitter in place of Alonso. Todd Frazier will enter the lineup on third base and hit sixth.
