Jose Martinez was not listed in the Chicago Cubs' lineup for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Martinez played in Saturday's game but will start on the bench Sunday while Kris Bryant enters the lineup and bats second.
Martinez has a .200 batting average and 2 home runs over his 90 plate appearances so far this season.
