Josh Bell back for Pirates in Game 1 on Friday
Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Josh Bell is back in the starting lineup on Friday against right-hander Luis Castillo and the Cincinnati Reds in the first game of a doubleheader.
Bell will man first and bat sixth after sitting out Thursday. This will be his first time batting lower than the cleanup spot this season. Colin Moran will be the Pirates' designated hitter and cleanup man. Gregory Polanco will shift to right field and bat fifth. Cole Tucker will move to center, sending Anthony Alford to the bench, and hit eighth. Bell is 3-for-16 with 5 strikeouts against Castillo for his career.
numberFire's models expect Bell to score 3.8 FanDuel points on Friday. He costs $2,800. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates only have an implied total of 2.83 runs in Game 1.
