Adalberto Mondesi absent from Royals' lineup versus Indians
Kansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against right-hander Zach Plesac and the Cleveland Indians.
It appears to be a breather for Mondesi, who has gone hitless in four straight games and is batting below .200 for the season. Nicky Lopez will cover shortstop and Whit Merrifield will move to second base while Bubba Starling makes a start in center field. Starling will bat eighth.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Royals have an implied total of 3.89 runs on Tuesday.
