Arizona acquires Humberto Mejia from Marlins
The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired right-handed pitching prospect Humberto Mejia from the Miami Marlins on Monday.
What It Means:
Mejia was part of the deal that sent Starling Marte to the Marlins. The 23-year-old right-hander made his MLB debut earlier this month but he's unlikely to contribute much for the Diamondbacks this season.
Mejia recorded a 5.40 ERA with 11 strikeouts and 6 walks over 10 innings in three appearances for the Marlins. He averaged 15.0 FanDuel points in those contests.
