Isan Diaz decides to rejoin Marlins

Miami Marlins second baseman Isan Diaz has decided to rejoin the club, per Craig Mish of SportsGrid.

What It Means:

Diaz opted out of the season at the beginning of the month due to COVID-19 concerns. His decision to return apparently played a role in the Marlins' trading Jonathan Villar to the Toronto Blue Jays at the deadline. Diaz went 2-for-9 (.222) with 2 runs and 3 strikeouts in two games this season before opting out.

Diaz batted just .173/.259/.307 over 201 plate appearances as a rookie last season.
