The Rockies called up veteran lefty reliever Rex Brothers from Triple-A Albuquerque Saturday.
Brothers has a career 3.49 ERA, but had a 5.59 ERA in the majors last season and a 4.71 ERA in the minors this year. The Rockies have the worst bullpen in baseball (4.61 combined ERA), so the move is just an attempt to shake things up and maybe get lucky.
