George Springer (elbow) not hitting in Astros' doubleheader
Houston Astros outfielder George Springer (left elbow contusion) will not hit in either game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Los Angeles Angels, per manager Dusty Baker.
Springer left Monday's game early after taking a pitch off his left elbow. X-rays came back negative but the Astros are going to play it safe on Tuesday. Springer could potentially contribute in the field off the bench. Myles Straw will cover center field and the leadoff spot for Springer in Game 1.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Astros are -150 favorites in Game 1 on Tuesday.
