Kansas City Royals first baseman Ryan O'Hearn is in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Jack Flaherty and the St. Louis Cardinals.
O'Hearn will man first base and bat cleanup after being held out of the last two lineups. He's managed 1 hit and 8 strikeouts in his last 17 at-bats. Hunter Dozier will move to right field and the No. 2 spot in the order. Whit Merrifield will shift to center while Bubba Starling takes a seat. Jorge Soler will bat third and Nicky Lopez has dropped down to No. 8 in the order.
