Isaac Paredes on Tigers' bench Monday
Detroit Tigers third baseman Isaac Paredes is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Alec Mills and the Chicago Cubs.
It appears to be a breather for Paredes, who has gone 5-for-20 (.250) with a homer, a double, and 6 RBI to begin his major-league career. Willi Castro will shift to third base Monday and bat ninth while Jonathan Schoop (hamstring) makes the start on second as the No. 2 batter.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Tigers have an implied total of 4.82 runs and the Tigers-Cubs game has an over/under of 10.0 runs.
