New York Yankees infielder Gleyber Torres has been placed on the ten-day injured list with a hamstring/quad injury.
Torres appeared to hurt his leg while running to first base earlier in the week, and an MRI on Friday revealed a grade 1 strain on his left quad and hamstring. James Paxton has also been placed on the ten-day injured list after an MRI revealed a grade 1 strain of his left forearm flexor. The Yankees next scheduled game is Tuesday, August 25th against the Atlanta Braves.
Torres is batting 0.231 this season with 1 homer, 6 RBI, and 9 runs in 98 plate appearances.
