Miami Marlins infielder Eddy Alvarez is starting in Monday's series opener against right-hander Robert Gsellman and the New York Mets.
Alvarez will replace Logan Forsythe on second base and bat seventh. He's gone 5-for-25 (.200) with 10 strikeouts in his first taste of the majors this season.
