Houston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez will join the active roster on Friday.
Alvarez will return to the Astros after spending time at Houston's alternate training site. Expect the 23-year old to see immediate playing time at designated hitter.
Alvarez's current season-long projection includes a .286 average with 8 home runs and 25 RBI in 144 total plate appearances.
