Dominic Smith sitting for Mets on Monday
New York Mets outfielder Dominic Smith is not starting in Monday's series opener against left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Washington Nationals.
Brian Dozier will replace Smith in the designated hitter spot and hit eighth. Smith has recorded an extra-base hit in four straight contests. He's slugging .533 through 37 plate appearances this season.
numberFire's models expect Smith to bat .239 with 3 homers, 7 RBI, and 12 scores over the rest of the season. Dozier is projected for 7.6 FanDuel points on Monday and priced at $2,000.
