Chris Davis not starting for Orioles Sunday
The Baltimore Orioles did not list Chris Davis as a starter for Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals.
While Davis did appear in each of the Orioles' past three games, he has been dealing with a knee injury and a sinus infection lately, so the team is likely giving him some time off as maintenance. Renato Nunez will move to first base, while Bryan Holaday will start at catcher and Chance Sisco will be the team's designated hitter.
Assuming Davis is able to stay healthy for the remainder of the season, our models project him to make 83 more plate appearances, with 4 home runs, 9 runs, 11 RBI, and a 0.225 batting average.
