Phillip Evans (broken jaw, concussion) will sit for Pirates Sunday
The Pittsburgh Pirates did not list Phillip Evan as a starter for Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers.
Evans started yesterday's game, but collided with teammate Gregory Polanco during the game and was placed on the 10-day injured list with a broken jaw and a concussion. It's unlikely that we see Evans again this season.
Evans was playing quite well so far this season over his 45 plate appearances, with 1 home run, 6 runs, 9 RBI, a 0.359 batting average and a 0.932 OPS. Hopefully he can make a speedy and safe recovery.
