Houston Astros outfielder George Springer (wrist) is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Oakland Athletics.
Springer received "good news" from an MRI on Friday morning following an early exit from Thursday's game. He has been replaced in Friday's lineup by Myles Straw, but is only listed as day-to-day after the MRI confirmed that there was no break in his wrist. Straw will bat eighth versus right-hander Chris Bassitt and the A's on Friday.
