Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Hunter Renfroe is not starting in Friday's series opener against right-hander Masahiro Tanaka and the New York Yankees.
Austin Meadows will move to right field in place of Renfroe and Yoshi Tsutsugo will make the start at designated hitter.
