Chicago Cubs infielder Nico Hoerner is not in the lineup on Tuesday in the team's game against the Kansas City Royals.
Hoerner is being replaced at second base by Jason Kipnis against Royals starter Brady Singer.
In 30 plate appearances this season, Hoerner has a .269 batting average with a .641 OPS, 6 runs and 5 RBI.
