Howie Kendrick scratched for stiff back Wednesday, Nationals starting Carter Kieboom
Washington Nationals first baseman/designated hitter Howie Kendrick has been scratched from Wednesday's lineup against right-hander Nate Pearson and the Toronto Blue Jays due to back stiffness.
Kendrick was initially penciled in at DH and the third spot in the order. Asdrubal Cabrera will now cover those duties and Carter Kieboom will start on third base and bat seventh.
numberFire's models expect Kendrick to bat .331 with 6 homers and 22 RBI over the rest of the season.
