Rockies' Scott Oberg (back) to start season on injured list
Colorado Rockies relief pitcher Scott Oberg will begin the season on the 10-day injured list.
That's what manager Bud Black told reporters on Wednesday as Oberg deals with a back strain. He's confident that it'll be a shorter stint, which would allow Oberg to resume setup duties as soon as possible. But for the time being, the back end of the Rockies bullpen will be missing a vital piece.
Our models currently project Oberg for a 2.86 ERA with a 1.19 WHIP, 27 strikeouts and 11 walks across 25.2 innings pitched.
