John Means (arm fatigue) ruled out for Orioles' opener
Baltimore Orioles pitcher John Means (arm) will not start Friday on Opening Day against the Boston Red Sox.
Means was held back from throwing for a few days after feeling some fatigue in his left arm last week. As a result, the left-hander won't ready for the Orioles' opener. Tommy Milone will make the first start of the season for Baltimore instead. Means was able to play catch on Tuesday and shouldn't miss too much time.
numberFire's models expect Means to record a 4.97 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with a 18.7 strikeout percentage this season.
