The Detroit Tigers reassigned right-handed pitcher Casey Mize to the club's alternate training location.
Mize may not begin the season in the Tigers' rotation, but he should be able to secure a starting job before the end of the 60-game schedule. The 23-year-old recorded a 2.55 ERA and 0.94 WHIP with 106 strikeouts and 23 walks over 109 1/3 minor-league innings last season. The Tigers also reassinged right-hander Matt Manning, infielder Spencer Torkelson, and outfielder Riley Greene.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Tigers are tied for having the worst odds (+30000) to win the 2020 World Series.
