New York Yankees relief pitcher Luis Cessa rejoined the team on Sunday, according to manager Aaron Boone.
Cessa tested positive for the novel coronavirus a couple weeks ago alongside teammate DJ LeMahieu, who rejoined the team a few days ago and is in the lineup for Sunday's game against the New York Mets. Cessa will throw a bullpen session on Monday, and it seems as though he'll possibly be ready for the Opening Day bullpen.
Our models currently project Cessa for a 4.68 ERA with 15 strikeouts, 6 walks and a 1.36 WHIP across 15.4 innings pitched this season.
