Mets closer Edwin Diaz allowed two runs against Yankees Saturday
New York Mets closer Edwin Diaz allowed two runs against the New York Yankees in one third of an inning.
He only earned one of the two runs allowed (one came on an error), but he was still pulled from the game before completing an inning. Diaz is still expected to be the Mets' primary option at closer, but don't be surprised if they shake things up before too long.
numberFire currently projects Diaz to pitch 24.10 innings this season with a 3.36 ERA, 38 strikeouts, 9 walks, and 3 home runs allowed.
