Cardinals' Alex Reyes was held out of camp due to COVID-19
St. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Alex Reyes revealed that he was prevented from joining the team due to testing positive for COVID-19.
Reyes was reportedly asymptomatic, but was unable to rejoin the team until he could produce multiple negative test results. Due to his late return, he's a candidate to start the season on the injured list.
Reyes isn't expected to be a major contributor this season, but numberFire does project him to pitch 14.6 innings with a 5.55 ERA, 8 strikeouts, 13 walks, and 3 home runs allowed.
