Pirates' Luke Maile (finger) out for 10-12 weeks
Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Luke Maile had surgery for a fractured right index finger on Friday and will miss 10-12 weeks.
Maile's timeline to return makes it unlikely that he will be a factor during the shortened 2020 season. Maile signed with the Pirates in December of 2019 after being granted free agency by the Toronto Blue Jays. Look for J.R. Murphy to see some additional playing time in his absence alongside Jacob Stallings.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Pirates are tied with the seventh-worst odds (+16000) to win the 2020 World Series.
