Red Sox sign Zack Godley to minor league contract
The Boston Red Sox have agreed to terms with pitcher Zack Godley, according to MassLive.com's Chris Cotillo.
Godley and Boston have reportedly been in talks for multiple days now. The agreed-upon contract includes opt-outs for Godley if he isn't part of the Red Sox active roster by the end of July or the first week of the regular season. In 2019, Godley combined for a 4-5 record with a 5.97 ERA, 70 strikeouts, 42 walks, and a 1.500 WHIP in 92 innings pitched.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Red Sox are tied for having the twelfth-worst odds (+4300) to win the 2020 World Series.
