Minnesota Twins pitcher Jose Berrios will be the Opening Day start for the team.
Berrios will be on the mound when the Twins take on the Chicago White Sox in their season opener on July 24. The 26-year-old right-hander threw 32 games for Minnesota last season, resulting in a 14 win 8 loss record and an All-Star selection. In 200 1/3 innings pitched last season, Berrios produced 195 strikeouts, 51 walks, a 3.68 ERA, and 1.22 WHIP.
