Padres acquire pitcher Tim Hill in trade with Royals
The San Diego Padres have acquired pitcher Tim Hill from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for outfielder Franchy Cordero.
After a breakout season in 2019, Hill was valued highly on the market with his contract under team control until 2024. Considering this year's shortened format, the 30-year old should see plenty of appearances as San Diego's left-handed specialist.
For this upcoming 60-game season, Hill's yearly projection includes a 4.20 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 19 innings pitched.
