New York Mets relief pitcher Jared Hughes has been placed on the team's 10-day injured list.
However, there is no official designation with the transaction. As a rule, teams cannot say whether a move to the injured list is COVID-19-related unless explicitly approved by the player, so perhaps that's a factor at play. Hughes has been away from the team for undisclosed reasons as of late.
Our models currently project Hughes for 3.00 ERA with a 1.13 WHIP, 12 strikeouts and 5 walks across 15.0 innings pitched this season.
