Cubs' Anthony Rizzo (back) out for Tuesday's intrasquad game
Chicago Cubs infielder Anthony Rizzo will not take part in Tuesday's intrasquad scrimmage due to stiffness in his back.
Rizzo missed multiple scrimmages last week with lower back tightness but was able to participate in Saturday's workout and take batting practice on Sunday. Following that batting session, Rizzo's back stiffness returned and will force him to miss Tuesday night's scrimmage.
Assuming a return to full health, numberFire's models expect Rizzo to record a .280 batting average and .849 OPS with 10 homers, 35 RBI, and 36 runs scored over 231 plate appearances this season.
