Nationals' Juan Soto expected to join summer workouts by Thursday
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto is expected to join the team at training camp by Thursday, according to The Athletic's Britt Ghiroli.
Victor Robles is also expected to return by Thursday. Soto has been away from camp due to potential COVID-19 exposure following an interaction with a teammate who tested positive. Assuming he returns as scheduled, the 21-year-old rising star should be good to go for opening day.
numberFire's models expect Soto to bat .292 with a .950 OPS this season while tallying 12 homers, 38 RBI, 39 runs scored, and 4 steals over 235 plate appearances. Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Nationals have the seventh-best odds (+1800) to win the 2020 World Series.
