Seattle Mariners outfielder Mallex Smith (undisclosed) will probably remain out until the weekend.
What It Means:
Smith arrived at summer camp on Monday but the Mariners haven't provided a reason for his late arrival or continued exclusion. The 27-year-old led the majors with 46 steals last season but he also had a career-worst .227 batting average and 24.9 strikeout percentage. Dylan Moore and Joe Hudson are also expected to remain out until the weekend after arriving on Monday.
