Minnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano (COVID-19) has not been cleared to join the team's summer camp workouts.
Sano, catcher Willians Astudillo, and shortstop prospect Nick Gordon are all COVID-positive. Sano is asymptomatic and feeling well, but his Opening Day status is uncertain. The 27-year-old posted a career-best .922 OPS last season and also set personal-highs in home runs (34), RBI (79), and runs scored (76).
numberFire's models expect Sano to record a .241 batting average and .849 OPS with 13 homers, 31 RBI, and 29 runs scored this season.
