Astros' Jose Urquidy (undisclosed) lands on 10-day

The Houston Astros placed starting pitcher Jose Urquidy (undisclosed) on the 10-day injured list.

What It Means:

Urquidy hasn't reported to summer camp yet. Astros manager Dusty Baker has only offered that the right-hander has a "condition that prevents [him] from reporting to the field." It seems unlikely that Urquidy will be able to make his first turn in the rotation and he may need to be worked up to a full pitch count once active. Urquidy recorded a 3.95 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with 40 strikeouts and 7 walks over his first 41 MLB innings (nine games, seven starts) last season.

numberFire's models expect Urquidy to record a 4.36 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with a 21.6 strikeout percentage across 53 2/3 innings in 2020.
