Pirates' Hector Noesi opts out of 2020 season

Pittsburg Pirates pitcher Hector Noesi has opted out of the 2020 MLB season.

What It Means:

Noesi has opted not to participate in the upcoming, 60-game season, due to family reasons. He signed with the Pirates as a free agent last December after throwing 27.2 innings for the Miami Marlins during the 2018-19 season, resulting in 24 strikeouts, 14 walks, and a 8.46 ERA.

Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Pirates have the seventh-worst odds (+16000) to win the 2020 World Series.
