Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Michael Kopech (personal) still hasn't arrived for summer camp workouts.
Kopech is dealing with an unknown personal matter and White Sox manager Rick Renteria declined to offer an updated timetable Wednesday. The 24-year-old right-hander may not make the Opening Day roster at this point, but he should be able to contribute eventually during the shortened 60-game season. Kopech missed all of 2019 after undergoing Tommy John surgery in September 2018. He owns a career 5.02 ERA over 14 1/3 innings in the majors.
numberFire's models expect Kopech to record a 6.28 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with 34 strikeouts and 10 walks over 40 innings.
