Mariners' Jake Fraley clears concussion protocol
Seattle Mariners outfielder Jake Fraley has cleared concussion protocol after getting struck in the head by a pitch on Tuesday.
Fraley is expected to fill an outfield platoon role for the Mariners this season. He went just 6-for-40 (.150) with 14 strikeouts in his first taste of the majors last year. Prior to that, Fraley slashed .298/.365/.545 with 19 home runs, 80 RBI, 22 stolen bases, and 68 runs scored in 99 games between Double-A Arkansas and Triple-A Tacoma.
numberFire's models project Fraley to record a .245 batting average and .721 OPS with 5 homers, 18 RBI, 18 runs scored, and 5 steals in 161 plate appearances this season.
