Seattle Mariners catcher Tom Murphy (foot) returned to summer camp workouts on Tuesday.
Murphy missed Monday's workout after fouling a ball off his foot on Sunday. He's expected to be the Mariners' Opening Day catcher. Austin Nola is next on the depth chart. Murphy batted .273 and a .859 OPS over 281 plate appearances last season with 18 homers and 40 RBI.
numberFire's models project Murphy to record a .227 batting average and .714 OPS with 7 homers, 19 RBI, and 14 runs scored in 143 plate appearances this season.
