Kyle Lewis standing out for Seattle

Seattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis received praise from Mariners manager Scott Servais for his rehab from major knee surgery.

What It Means:

Lewis didn't make his MLB debut until the last month of the season last year due to chronic knee trouble. “The fact that he’s worked so hard, he has 100% confidence in how his body is working and moving and how it’s going to bounce back after a couple rough days on the field, it’s great to see," Servais said. "He looks really good and he’s been one guy that has stood out. You can see the work he put in is really going to pay off.” Lewis is expected to be a regular outfielder for the Mariners in 2020 after batting .268 with an .885 OPS over his first 75 plate appearances in the bigs last year. “The ceiling, the upside for Kyle, the sky is the limit,” Servais said. “It really is. I don’t like to put numbers or too high of expectations on anybody, but he could really take this thing as far as he wants. He’s got that kind of ability.”

numberFire's models expect Lewis to hit .237 with 5 homers, 17 RBI, and 17 runs scored in 147 plate appearances this season.
