Cleveland's Mike Clevinger (knee) able to field his position

Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Mike Clevinger has been able to field his position off the mound, pitching coach Carl Willis told reporters Sunday.

What It Means:

Before all of MLB took a four-month hiatus due to COVID-19, Clevinger's rehab was strictly limited to throwing and catching. In an effort to slowly bring along his rehabilitation for a knee injury, he was prevented from doing any sort of agility work, including fielding drills off the mound. But in the first round of baseball activities since the layoff, Clevinger apparently passed his tests with flying colors.

Our models currently project Clevinger for a 3.53 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP, 81 strikeouts and 22 walks across 66.3 innings pitched.
