Angels' Griffin Canning (elbow) benefited from extra time off
Los Angeles Angels pitcher Griffin Canning (elbow) said his elbow 'feels normal' and '10 times' better than it did in the spring.
Canning is one of several who benefited from the delayed start to the season, which gave him extra time to recover from an elbow issue. He also said he has worked up to 60 pitches and has pitched a 3-inning stint against live batters.
We'll have to wait and see just how well he has recovered from his ailing elbow, but assuming he is good to go, numberFire projects Canning to have a 4.21 ERA in 2020 with 41 strikeouts to 15 walks and 8 home runs allowed.
