Padres' Tommy Pham tests positive for COVID-19

San Diego Padres pitcher Tommy Pham has tested positive for COVID-19, according to The Athletic's Dennis Lin.

What It Means:

A.J. Preller stated that Pham is reportedly asymptomatic and will be quarantined until he returns two consecutive negative tests. He is the first and only member of the Padres to have tested positive at this time. Pham, who is waiting to make his Padres debut, arrived in a trade from the Tampa Bay Rays last December.

Our models currently project Pham for a .276 batting average, 7 home runs, 23 RBI, 30 runs, and a .830 OPS.
