Phillies' Ranger Suarez placed on COVID-19 injured list
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Ranger Suarez has been placed on the COVID-19 injured list along with three other teammates.
Suarez is a candidate to potentially earn a spot in the starting rotation out of camp, though it's more likely he'll begin the year in the bullpen our off the 30-man active roster. Being placed on this list doesn't necessarily mean tested positive for COVID-19, as anyone showing symptoms or having been in contact with someone who tests positive can be placed here. We'll wait for updates on his status.
Our models project Suarez for a 4.06 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP, 11 strikeouts and 4 walks across 13.3 innings pitched.
