Hector Neris placed on Phillies' COVID-19 injured list
Philadelphia Phillies closer Hector Neris has been placed on the team's COVID-19 injured list along with three teammates.
This list is designated for players who have tested positive, shown symptoms or simply come into contact with someone who tested positive. So while we don't exactly know what Neris' official status is, it's probably safe to say that he'll be sidelined for at least the first couple weeks of Spring Training. Expect Seranthony Dominguez to potentially pick up the slack in the closer department until Neris is healthy.
Our models project Neris for a 3.69 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 36 strikeouts, 9 walks and 10 saves across 24.4 innings pitched.
